One-Hand Fungo

One-hand fungo is a great drill for hand-eye coordination improvement. This can either be done with the front-hand or the back-hand toss.

Front-Hand Toss

Have the player grip the bat with two hands, then let go with their front hand and very slightly choke up with their back hand. Their goal is to throw the ball up with their front hand and perform the same swing with their back hand only and their body. It is difficult to perfect, and it will take them time and frustration to perfect it.

Back-Hand Toss

Same thing - except now, their back hand has to flip the ball underneath into the front, and they should take the same swing with just their front hand.

EMPHASIZE: Working on hands, feet and arms coming through together.
