Grip Flips:

One of the most under-practiced skills in pitching is the ability to spin the ball, grip flips work simply on the spin the wrist and fingers should give the ball.

The Drill:

For 2-Seam and 4-Seam Fastballs - Flip the wrist over (facing upwards) with the correct grip and flip the ball up in the air to achieve the desired spin. When you release, your fingers should create maximum spin. The ball shouldn't go more than 3-4 feet in the air maximum.

For the curveball - It is almost like snapping your fingers, the ball will still spin like a curveball, but sideways.

Points of Emphasis:

1.  Make sure the ball isn’t flying to high in the air.
2.  Make sure the spin on each player’s ball is correct.
