Crowhop Drill

This is a drill mainly for the outfielders, but infielders with weak arms or those that take deeper cutoffs can also benefit.

The key to this drill is getting your body in the correct crow hop position so that you aren't putting extra strain on your arm.

There are two types of balls to hit to players to get their bodies in correct positions. You should hit them ground balls (that make it to them) and you should also hit them fly balls (high enough so they can get their bodies into position)

Simply hit your outfielders hard ground balls first and have them field the ball while still moving (not as easy as it sounds) and hit their crow hop directly towards their target.

The second round, have them get their bodies into a correct fielding position with a runner tagging up and hit them fly balls. If they are in the correct position, they should be able to start their crow hop right as they are catching the ball.

A perfect throw will be just above the head of the cutoff.
